Structural Challenges
Structural Compatibility
Structural compatibility was achieved through a careful integration between the new structures and the existing building, respecting the original load paths, alignments, and construction systems of the house. Each intervention was designed to complement the existing framework without creating unnecessary structural stress, allowing elements such as the porte cochère, covered terrace, and recreational areas to function as natural extensions of the residence while maintaining overall structural coherence.
Structural Continuity and Stability
Structural continuity and stability are ensured through a coherent system of vertical supports, pitched roof structures, and properly engineered foundations that efficiently distribute loads throughout the site. The combination of tall posts, sloped roof forms, and well-defined structural connections allows large covered spaces to be achieved without compromising stability, ensuring durability, resilience, and a clear architectural expression of each built element.
